WEBSHAKERS WELCOMES VALERIE SWINGLER AS ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

High-tech Veteran to Lead Development of Sports Games for webshakers in collobration with peoplespace on behalf of electronic arts

Charlottesville, VA., January 10, 1999 - Webshakers today announced the appointment of Valerie Swingler as Associate Producer for Interactive Game Development. Swingler is chartered to lead all game development for Webshakers, including the recently announced Corner Kick soccer game in collaboration with Peoplespace on behalf of Electronic Arts.

Swingler brings with her extensive experience in interactive development. Prior to joining Webshakers, Swingler was a senior project manager in charge of customer implementation at New Age Web Services. She led the launch of several websites for clients and supervised the relationship with existing customers. As an Associate Producer, Swingler will bring her broad range of technical and managerial skills to an already diverse group.

"Webshakers has made incredible strides as an independent company competing against larger development houses" said Swingler, the new Associate Producer for Webshakers. "I look forward to having the chance to show just how much more we are capable of and to continue setting a clear leadership in the on-line game industry."

One of Swingler's first assignments will be to head the new line of sports games for Webshakers on behalf of Electronic Arts. These Shockwave games will be available on Electronic Arts's EASports site.

Valerie Swingler has a diverse background in technical and management. As Senior Project Manager for New Age Web Services, she helped the company increase their customer retention. She has also worked independently as a networking consultant for many high-tech firms. Swingler received a bachelor's degree in Psychology and an associates degree in networking.
