WEBSHAKERS LAUNCHES DIGISHAKERS, A NEW FAN SITE

Unique development tool allows for seamless launch of the first of many fan sites

San Jose, Calif., June 4, 2001 - Webshakers today launched Digishakers, the first of a series of fan sites devoted to fans.

"Digishakers is a project we've wanted to do for a while," said Ronald Trang, President of Webshakers. "A lot of us are fans of the show, and we've wanted to express our support to the fans and the studios."

Digishakers is different from many fan sites due to its unique architecture. Unlike most traditional websites, Digishakers is the product of a new tool called SiteArc¢ē. SiteArc was created by Webshakers to allow for an entirely database-drive website. All of the content is written via a simplified interface, and a customized script generates HTML pages based upon the database.

More to Come
"There will be more fan sites coming from us," said Shumin Chang, Chief Technical Architect for Webshakers. "Using SiteArc, we'll be able to build websites faster and more efficiently."

Webshakers will be launching several more fan sites throughout the year, each with a different theme. By allowing for a consistent architecture and experience, fans will benefit from a familiar interface and a consistently updated website. All of these sites will be free to fans and will provide updated news, reviews and custom shockwave games.
